But way more than that, the coordination of contractors, you virtually served as a project manager for me since I and my special daughter were in another location and really just could not do these things. With the first sale the repair work was extensive, contractors, building permits, even an architect you helped me find, and although the first sale fell apart, the final sale was beyond what I hoped for with strong buyers, a fairly fast close and a higher bottom line, even after the repairs had been done. Before I tell you about Alexandra, I think that you should know that I had the house listed with another local real estate firm for over a year, without having a single offer. Truth be told, I had almost given up selling the house. Alexandra was one of several real estate agents that I interviewed for the listing. When I interviewed her, she presented what I though was the best, well though-out marketing plan, with a realistic, fact-based valuation of the property. I also thought that it was very innovative the way she used sociall media such as Facebook, to showcase listings and open houses.While my house always showed well, Alexandra suggested numerous changes to improve the way it showed. She took it upon herself to rearrange furniture, move paintings on the walls, eliminate clutter, etc.. Alexandra suggested that I change the large guest bedroom into a bonus/game room. To confess, I was skeptical that these changes would have much effect on the sale of the house, but I felt that I had nothing to lose and I knew that Alexandra had a keen eye for such things. She also capitalized on Concours d' Elegance Week with advertising that showcased the large garage and private driveway of my home, not to mention my red Corvette.Alexandra made it clear to me that she liked holding open houses. Again, I was somewhat skeptical of the value that open houses actually create but she was the expert, so I agreed and she held open houses just about every weekend prior to getting the right offer in September. Interestingly, the house was sold to a couple who attended one of Alexandra's open houses. Another interesting note, the wife of the couple who purchased the house told me during the walk-through that the bonus/game room that Alexandra created was what sold them on the house, as they have two children. Just to conclude, I wanted you to know what I am sure you already know, that is you have a top notch professional agent working for you. I understand that she was recently recognized as a to producer. I would predict that she will earn that title many times more in the future. Should I be in the market for another home on the Monterey Peninsula, I won't hesitate for a moment asking for Alexandra's help.
